Mission Statement/Purpose:

 

The purpose and objective of the Delaware State Troopers Association is to improve the terms and conditions of employment of its members and to provide for their protection and general welfare through all democratic means.  The Association also seeks to promote the spirit of cooperation and fraternity between the state of Delaware, Division of State Police and the Department of Safety and Homeland Security and all law enforcement agencies within the state of Delaware.  

 

The vigorous and persistent pursuit of these precepts is the express intent of this Association, with the best interest of the Association at heart, and to encourage social, charitable and educational activities among police officers. 

 

The Delaware State Troopers Association is an organization of the Delaware State Police, managed by our State Troopers, active and/or retired whose members do hereby agree to be bound and governed by their by-laws and who cannot strike.

  • Delaware State Police 2015 Trooper and Civilian of the Year

        On Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the Delaware State Troopers Association, Superintendent of the Delaware State Police, Colonel Nathaniel McQueen Jr., announced the winners of the annual Trooper of the Year and Civilian of the Year awards.   Each year the Delaware State Police Executive Staff selects one trooper for the Trooper of the Year Award.

  • Recruit Class Graduation

    February 16, 2016

      Graduation ceremonies for the 89th Delaware State Police and 81st Municipal Recruit Class were held on Friday, February 12, 2016, at the Delaware State University Education Humanities Building.     The ceremonies celebrated and recognized the successful completion of Law Enforcement training of 14 Delaware State Troopers and 24 Law Enforcement Officers representing the Camden Police Department, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Division of Parks & Recreation, Dover Police Department, Georgetown Police Department, Middletown Police Department, Milford Police Department, Millsboro Police Department, Newark Police Department, Ocean View Police Department, Seaford Police Department, State Fire Marshal’s Office and the University of Delaware Police Department.   Congratulations and Best Wishes to the graduates for safe and successful careers with their respective departments.
